Fishing gets off to a good start for the first day of May. Fishing on the EL BUDSTER. Ryan Lane from East Wenatchee, WA catches and releases a 140 lb. STRIPED MARLIN. It was caught on a live Pacific Mackerel and takes 45 minutes to get to the boat. Fishing on the EL BUDSTER I . David Woods from El Dorado Hills, CA catches and releases a 130 lb. STRIPED MARLIN. It is also caught on a live Pacific Mackerel and takes about 40 minutes to get to the boat.Both the marlin were caught at the Gordo Bank. The water temp. was 74-75 degrees. Fishing on the EL BUDSTER II. The Thomas Lawson party from St. Paul, MN fishes inshore on the Pacific Ocean They have a great time. They catch their limit of SIERRA MACKEREL and also catch two very nice AMBERJACK. The water temp. was 69-70 degrees.

The EL BUDSTER & EL BUDSTER II did not catch any fish today. The EL BUDSTER I did not go fishing. The water temp. goes up to 74-76 degrees. The boats fish at the Gordo Bank but can not get anything to bite. Better luck tomorrow. RESERVATIONS 858-483-3771......

Only the EL BUDSTER has a charter today. The Mark Ross party from Idabel, OK has a great day on the EL BUDSTER. They catch & release THREE STRIPED MARLIN. ( 130 - 125 - 120 lbs.) All three were caught on live Pacific Mackerel. The fighting for all three was between 30- 45 minutes. All the marlin were caught at the Gordo Bank.
