We soaked our lines patiently and waited with high hopes. As the grey light faded in, we knew our chances were becoming slim. Captain Valney scanned the area and unfortunately we were unable to reproduce the bite that brought home 121 White Seabass the day before. We dropped the hook on a few nice ridges that produced quality Rockfish, Lingcod, Cabezon, and some monster Calico Bass! We then went in tight for a Halibut drift and I managed to hook up on a nice flatty which spit the hook right at color. It would have been my personal best so right as I began mourning the loss of my fish, I hear HOOK UP! We had a flurry of White Seabass rush the boat and we managed to land four fish. This bite was well into overtime as Bobby extended our trip even though he had an open party turn-around that night. I can't thank you enough captain!
