SLOWING DOWN (100410)!!! Hello everyone; Weather today was overcast, flat seas, and just gloomy, but by the afternoon, the sun was out and and the weather could not get any better. With 4 other boats in the area, things changed, and I mean they really changed. We had a fair day of fishing, but not like yesterday. We ended our day with 17 Dorado, 6 Wahoo, 18 Yellowfin, and a handful of Yellowtail. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 35 to 50 pound range, with a few going over 75 pounds. All the Wahoo were beautiful fish, with most in the 45 yo 50 pound range. We departed Alijos rocks around 16:00 hours, and we are now headed into the east. We should arrive to our destination around 08:00 hours. We hope to have a better report tomorrow, so wish us luck. The R/p crew. From Shimano: Ted wish i had some more giant waxwings today, thanks for giving me only one... The Wahoo bite this morning was great. Did the old Butterfly Long Jig trick and put a treble hook on the back of the long jig and it was game on. had 6 bites first thing and got two in the boat. Biggest one according to the guys was over 60lbs. I think i found a new love and am going to become a Wahoo freak. The gear today worked great and the Talica and Trinidad's on Terez performed great. Hope to get on some more Wahoo tomorrow but without the Giant bait I only feel disappointed for only having one. Weather, crew, food, and the other guests on the boat are great. Hope to report with some over-sized fish tomorrow. Just to make my point i will say it one last time. Wish I had more giant WAXWINGS, although the Junior and Boy are working great on the Tuna the big one was the Wahoo slayer.-+ "BeNt RoDs 4 LiFe"
