http://www.flyandfield.com/index.htmWell it's May, and for those die hard Met anglers, that means the first signs of the Green Drakes. If you've heard the rumblings, then you already know. Green Drakes are hatching on the lower stretches of the river.
Look for the big green mayflies to be hatching in the early afternoon, sometime between noon and 3 pm. Bugs have been hatching in the Bridge 99 area.
Cripples are my favorite choice, but the adults will work too.
If you've never experienced this hatch, it is very worth spending the day on the water.
