Congratulations to Danny Linden of Castro Valley for his 2 lbs. 9 oz. Crappie catch on January 18, 2011 which is now the Lake Del Valle record. The Marina hours are now 6am to 6 pm with the park hours 6am to 7pm. Our last trout plant was Monday January 31st from Mt. Lassen of 1000 lbs. Our anglers have been using a wide range of bait from Power Bait Eggs in White, Pink Shad, Yellow/Orange, Orange Peel and Cheese, Power Bait Natural Scent Corn Yellow, Power Bait Natural Scent Salmon Peach, Power Bait Extra Scent Glitter Yellow, Power Bait Glitter Chartreuse Turbo Dough, Power Bait Glitter Spring Green and Power Bait in Rainbow are the favorites this week. Fire Tiger Kastmasters, Rainbow Trout Kastmasters and Silver and Gold Kastmasters along with Bleeding Cooper Flash Rapalas, Fire Tiger Rapalas, Rainbow Trout Ra```palas, gold and Silver Rapalas are the most popular lures bringing in some nice size Trout, Needlefish, Panther Martins and Hot Steel along with Berkley Powe Bait Trout Attractant and Berkley Power Bait Trout Dip in Corn, Garlic and of course Night Crawlers. if you plan on boating, early is best. As a reminder, we have a half off special on all boats on an all day boat rental every Wednesday. Valencia of Castro Valley caught 5 Trouts the largest weighing 8 lbs. using Night Crawlers in the Narrows on 01/28/11. Eric Kim of San Mateo caught a 13 lbs 8 oz. Trout using Night Crawlers outside the Marina on 1/28/11. Steve Harvey of Livermore caught 2 Trouts the largest weighing 5 lbs. using a Black and Silver Rapala in the Narrows on 01/28/11. Charles Deguara of Cupertino caught a 7 lbs. 11 oz. Trout using Night Crawlers in the Southend on 01/28/11. Jonathan Rodriguez of Livermore caught 4 Trouts the largest weighing 4 lbs. 9 oz using White Power Bait Eggs and Worms with Berkley Power Bait Corn Trout Dip in the Narrows on 01/28/11. Ali Poursafar of San Francisco caught a 4 lb. using Power Bait in the East Beach on 01/29/11. John Kitta of Fremont caught 4 Trouts. The stringer weighed 16 lbs. the largest weighing 8 lbs. 4 oz. using Power Bait at the Dam on 01/29/11. Doug W. McDonald of Pleasanton caught a 7 lbs. 15 oz. Trout using a Kastmaster at the East Beach on 1/31/11. Monty Clark of Livermore caught 5 Trouts. The stringer weighed 21 lbs. 15 oz. the largest weighing 3 lbs. 6 oz. using Power Bait and Night Crawlers at the Dam on 01/31/11. David Heist of Livermore caught 4 Trouts. The stringer weighed 17 lbs. the largest weighing 11 lbs. 13 oz. using Power Bait and Night Crawlers in the East Beach on 01/31/11. Arnie Massud of Fremont caught 4 Trouts. The stringer weighed 17 lbs. The largest weighing 11 lbs. 13 oz using Power Bait in the Narrows on 02/01/11. Charles Deguara of Cupertino caught 5 Trouts the largest weighing 8 lbs. 13 oz. using Power Bait in the Southend on 02/02/11. Johnny Valero of Pleasanton caught 2 Trouts, the largest weighing 5 lbs. 11 oz. using Salmon Peach Power Bait in the Narrows on 02/03/11.
