Mazatlan Fishing Report

Report Date:

An unusual period of very rough and windy conditions kept the Port closed for two days and two more days with no passengers to go and only 3 days of fishing. For the first time ever, we have a zero fish report for the Mazatlan area for a total of 5 offshore fishing days and no inshore fishing days.

Mazatlan Climate: Mostly cloudy during early week and then sunny & warm for the end of the week. Nights are still very cool with temps from 43 but rising to daytime highs at 79 and very comfortable.

Sea Conditions: Diminished conditions followed the windy and rough weather days and the water temps fell, especially for the inshore waters. Inshore temps were down to 63 degrees that extended out to about 10 miles or so, rising to 73-74 at 22-23 miles or so and going from very green water close to shore to a cleaner green offshore, but nothing in the way of good blue water.

Best Fishing Area: None reported.

Best Lure/Bait: None reported.

Bait Supply: Good supply for both live and rigged baits.
