http://www.sportfishingreport.comSunny weather has returned to Lake Almanor, according to Doug Neal at Almanor Fishing Adventures. "Surface temperatures are on the rise", said Neal. "Bug hatches are starting, clarity is improving, and the bite has spiked.
"Rainbows have taken the lead, with a few browns in the mix as well. We have been trolling the Lake Cove area along the east shore. We got 13 fish on Tuesday, and would have gotten more if the wind hadn't picked up.
"All of the rainbows were 1.5 to 2.4 pounds, and were bright and full of fight. The browns also looked good. We are trolling with Rainbow Runners and Seps Pro Specials. We never rigged anything deeper than eight feet."
