If you love to see the wildflowers now is the time. The gold flowers on the back lake are in full bloom. A combination of purple and gold with some ivory mixed in.
Jess Ranch stocked us with 1,200 lbs. of their beautiful rainbows. Most and one and two pounders.
There will be a nature walk on Sunday at 1:00 PM. Ranger Noonan will be taking a group around the lake to check out the wildlife and wildflowers. Come if you can.

The DFG brought in 1,000 lbs. of trout this week and we are expecting 1,200 lbs. from Mt Lassen next week. The transfer pump is on and transferring water from the East Lake so fishing the Pump House Cove is the best right now. There is a free fishing class every Saturday at 10:00 AM at the launch ramp. Please tell the ranger at the tackleshop that you want to attend. ......

Happy Easter to you all. Hope the Easter Bunny brings you some chocolate. This week has been quite cool with fog rolling in and out. a jacket is a real necessity. The fish like it though. The fishing has been fantastic. Mt. Lassen brought in another 1,000 lbs of the sierra trout. Best Bait or Lure: Crawlers, powerbait, Yellow Roostertail, Gold Spoon, Rapala Fire Tiger. Best Spots: Lone Pine, N. Finger Jetty, Pumphouse Cove. shore or trolling.......
