"The past couple of days have been busy for us down here on the bank," observed Excel skipper Justin Fleck May 22. "Tuna fishing remains steady throughout the morning and then the wahoo take over for the afternoon. Most of the tuna are coming on board before daylight. Big fish for the past two days were caught by Chris Perez, with a 201-pounder, Luan Pham, with his personal best at 252, and Jan Howard boated her second cow of the trip at 249 pounds. There have also been several in the 180 to 195-pound range."
