http://www.alohaspirit.comHello Anglers, Well today we arrived at the big fish zone and found a confused sea along with a large ground swell. After mid-morning it was clear that looking conditions would be tough, the wind had come up and we were driving through rain squalls. We found a few spots that boiled up but didn't bite and then around 4 o'clock we got on a spot that reacted well and came up very close to the boat. After 10 minutes of being teased Laurens Rhinelander hooked a big one on the kite and Dudley Vaughn hooked one on a fly-lined mackerel with a three hundred pound leader. After 45 minutes Lawrence landed his and it tapped out at 281. Unfortunately Dudley's broke off 5 feet from gaff, his hundred pound broke just above his leader. Just another reminder that these fish are no joke and the heaviest tackle should be used every time to rail. We are going to give it another try tomorrow, hopefully the weather reports are correct and it will be nicer in the morning. -Justin

Hello Anglers, This morning we fished the ridge for yellows and managed 50 in a couple hours before continuing on down. The weather is extremely rough and almost unfishable. We will be making a couple hundred pieces of bait tonight before heading out to the big fish zone. Hopefully the weather comes down and we will be able to locate some nice schools. ......
