Hello Anglers,
What a difference a day makes, yesterday was a frustrating day where we found plenty of fish but only got one to bite, for the most part they didn't even boil up. Sticking to our guns with the belief that it was just a down day we stuck it out and it paid off. Today we had 26 big fish from 120 pounds all the way up to 299. Big fish honors today goes to Levi Hostetler, he winched in the 299 pounder on a Penn 50 wide filled with 100# Berkley Big Game. In all, we had 9 cows for the day. Michael Day caught a 261, Brannon Forhan got a 220, Ken Philips boated a 200, Walt Bozza with a 285 and Steve Gentry landed a 276. After fishing several spots for drifts up to 13 fish, we ended the day with a school of giants. We hooked 7, 3 coming on the kite. After Dave Ross had his rod snap and fish break off, two other giants got away 5 feet from gaff. We landed Levi's 299 as well as pair of 265 pounders for Neil Peters and Bill Johnson in the dark. The last stop was just a taste of what someone's day could be out here, it was a school of straight "super cows", nothing under 250. We will be making more bait tonight to give it another shot tomorrow, we hope that the fishing and weather will continue to be awesome. Wish us Luck
