Hello Anglers,

Well, today was another day in paradise. Sunny, flat calm weather with more good yellowfin tuna fishing.Today was basically a repeat of yesterday as far as the consistency of the quality of fish we caught The show that these big tuna put on is only what most people dream about and for the eighteen anglers on board, the last couple of days will be days they will remember for quit some time. For the day we had a total of twenty tuna, and although the number of fish may not seem like much our breakdown of fish was like this. Three fish from 207 to 230 pounds, eight fish from 170 to 185 pounds, and nine fish from 130 to 170 pounds. Not bad for three drifts today. Our 230 pound yellowfin went to Dan Felger and the fish is his new personal best. Grover Sinsley added his second 200 pound yellowfin for the trip with a 207. And Tim Turis added his third 200 pound tuna to his tally with a 205 pound yellowfin. Our regular long range angler Tom Howe had a spell of bad luck today with two yellowfin over 220 pounds lost just out of gaff range. And we lost 2 other fish today that were over 200 pounds. Hopefully tomorrow we can put together another day of quality tuna fishing. On another note, it should be recognized that Brian Kiyohara on the American Angler had one hell of a bite on 120 to 150 pound yellowfin with one fish that taped 220 pounds in a totally different area not one, but two days in a row. The opportunity to catch such fish like that on a 17 day trip is great but to do it on a 10 day trip like they did is spectacular. Just another example of some of the fishing that can be had on trips 8 days or more in the fall or winter.Great job Brian Wish us luck tomorrow, Shawn and the crew, P.S. Dennis Braid, wish you could be here to enjoy and appreciate this, get well soon.
