Coral Sea July

The past several weeks have seen some incredible action both on the beach local fishing as well as the Outer Channel Islands.

Just look at what has transpired.

First, we had several days of White Seabass fishing less than 2 miles from our dock. Some of these brutes topped the scales at over 60 lbs.

After that, we saw a line class record set for California Halibut with a 57 lb. fish only to be shattered several days later with an ALL TACKLE record being set with a 67 lb. brute landed. Congratulations go out to the anglers and crew of the Mirage for knocking down those 2 back to back records. Way to go guys!

This is everyone's opportunity to have their shot at literally setting a record, or at the very least, having the opportunity to engage with the fish of a lifetime.

I have been fishing the waters around the Channel Islands for over 30 years, and cannot recall a time in my career where there has been such consistent big game fishing.

There remains great sign of both trophy seabass and halibut around our local and outer island waters.

The Coral Sea has a limited offering of trips available during the month of July.

Anyone of these trips will give you the chance to lock into one of these record setters.

The following trips depart at 10 pm and will target big game on the outer waters...Wed 7/13, Fri 7/15, Sat. 7/16, Wed 7/20, Thurs. 7/21, Fri 7/22, and Fri 7/29.

We also have a 5am to 5pm trip scheduled to depart and fish on 7/15.

It's summer time and the fish are biting.

You can book online on our website @ http://www.CoralSeaSportfishing.com/

While we are highlighting these trips, this is an excellent opportunity to think about chartering the Coral Sea as well. Often times it costs no more that if you were reserving a spot on one of our open trips, and you have the advantage of fishing with those you know.

Feel free to contact Capt. Frank direct @ 805 794 9653 and I'll help you work out the details of your private charter.

The Coral Sea is an excellent charter boat with all the amenities of a larger Sportfishing vessel.

Full galley, comfortable berthing, lots of live bait capacity, refrigerated fish hold, side scan sonar and the most important feature, a crew that will provide you with the service you deserve.

We hope to see you on one of these upcoming trips in the next few weeks.

Capt. Frank
