YELLOWFIN TUNA (072611)!!! It's business, it's business time! Alijos was rockn' for us all through the morning hours, until about 13:00. Then the current changed direction and it fell on it's face. The action this morning for sure made up for the slow afternoon, as we ended up putting 42 yellowfin tuna from 25 to 120 pounds on the deck followed by 102 yellowtail in the 15 ot 25 pound range. Almost all of the tunas today came on fly lined sardines, with the guys and gals using short top shots of 30, 40 or 50 pound mono or fluorocarbon. Big Fish Happen, Bruce A. Smith The weather is very good. No swell to speak of and 10 knots of breeze, overcast and hot in the mid-day
