Lake Mead Fish Report 06-13-07

Nevada Department of Wildlife

Report Date:

Winds have held anglers at bay for much of the past week and have made fishing difficult. Some striper fishermen have found top-water action, but most of the fish caught have been taken on bait. Stripers have been seen chasing shad to the surface. The key is a willingness to work for the fish; passive anglers will find the going slow. Fishermen have been finding bucket mouths in the backs of coves and smallies off the points. Plastic worms and crankbaits have been taking the fish.
