http://www.shogunsportfishing.com60 TO 110 POUND TUNA (092311)!!! It was good action on the bigger, quality yellowfin tuna, bigger as in 60 to 110 pounds. The problem was getting the fish to the boat, through or past the patrolling white sharks. In all, I would have to say we hooked over 50 tuna for the day, steady to good action, we landed 19 whole fish. Throughout the day we also picked at some smaller yellowtail, most of which were thrown back. The weather is absolutely gorgeous while sitting here in the lee of the big island and the group has had a wonderful time. There were a couple of real "National Geographic" moments with the big whites eating the fish right next to the boat, great picture opportunity's. Today's winners include- Bob Tankersly, Seeker 6470 Black Steek rod, for the first whole fish on board. Leonard Thorp, Fisherman's supply t-shirt Bill Rhodes, Fisherman's supply t-shirt Jeff Gray, Fisherman's supply t-shirt Sterling Tanouye, Fisherman's supply t-shirt Jim Pletcher, jig bag Mike Berard, jig bag John Gray, reel cover Steve Hanks, reel cover Big Sharks Happen, Bruce A. Smith
