Report Date:

Steelheaders are doing well on the Feather River, reported Chuck Rice at Oroville Outdoors. "Good numbers of steelhead are being caught in the low-flow section", said Rice. "Fish are being caught up to eight pounds, and some larger ones are being lost. Be sure to release the wild fish; hatchery steelhead are marked with a clipped adipose fin. Best baits have been salmon eggs and nightcrawlers."

"There are also still some salmon to be caught, with a few anglers still scoring limits on fish in the 15 to 25-pound range. Most salmon are being caught on roe, but silver/blue or silver/chartreuse No.5 Blue Fox Vibrax spinners are also catching some fish.
