The water has stayed warm with the recent heat wave, which has kept the catfish active. Cut mackerel and creek channels are the key to success.

There has been some decent top water action on bass early, and both largemouth and smallmouth are hitting buzz baits, spoons and poppers. The PM bite has been fair on spinnerbaits, spoons and texas rigged plastics.

There has been a slow bite on trout, but bank anglers have been scoring some with Kastmasters and PowerBait in Harveys Bay. Trolling has worked also at 3 to 5 colors of leadcore with needlefish and nightcrawlers near the dam for some nice hold-over rainbows. The lake is slated for a 5,000 lb. plant on Friday November 4.

Bow fishing for Carp has steadily improved over the past 2 weeks, and are back in shallow coves. Crappie and all other panfish were slow this past week.
