Truckee River Fish Report 06-25-07

Reports on the Truckee have been roughly the same since last report. Water temp are starting to change so late evening and early morning is becoming a factor. Fly anglers still reporting huge caddis hatches as of recent in the late evening. Big fish have been gorging themselves on emerging caddis. Get out there before this one is over. The hatch should be near Verdi now. Truckee river fishing has been excellent. Fly anglers have been successful using Stone Flies, bead head prince nymphs and hares ears copper Johns and Flying Ant patterns. Lure fisherman try using Castmasters and blue foxes. Bait fisherman try bouncing eggs. The flows have dropped considerably since May, much easier to wade now. Check Latest stocking information at bottom of page. The flow is 218 as 6/22/07.
