Monday's trip aboard the Pacific Dawn had some of the best outer island weather of the season. Fishing was also outstanding with big reds and several lingcod. Jig fishing was super productive for the reds and chucks. Done rockfishing by 10:30am captain Pat moved into the shallows to try for whitefish but the current was a bit much. Pat made a move late in the day to try for more lings in the 200ft range.. but only producing a couple. Jackpot was a draw with two anglers splitting the pot with matching lingcod. Overall outstanding day with a great bunch of anglers. Pacific Dawn has another overnight OPEN TRIP departing Thursday night fishing Friday. Its already a go with only a handfull of open spots.

Also this week.. ISLAND SPIRIT and PACIFIC EAGLE are departing every morning. Local trips to either Anacapa Island, Santa Cruz Island or the Ventura Coast. Local fishing is also holding its own with big reds and chillis.
