http://www.excelsportfishing.comThe first fish of the trip was boated just after 2am by Justin Medeiros on a glow in the dark PL68. Justin's fish went 214.8 pounds and was by far and away his personal best....until his kite turn came around. Justin raised the bar quite a bit when he landed his second cow of the morning, a 232.0 pounder caught on a double sardine rig. There was a nice showing just before daylight where we picked off a dozen more nice tuna up to 175 pounds. As soon as the sun came up our current died so we decided to make the tour with the troll jigs. I can't say that I see a ton of wahoo here but what's around definitely wants to bite. Our first stop was crazy with roughly half of our passengers being bitten off on the sink by the razor sharp teeth that make them so famous. I want to say we had around 25 skin out of the first flurry and then it seemed like the entire boat was at the tackle rack re-tying. We managed to scratch at both tuna and wahoo for the afternoon. Most of the tuna were 70-100 pounds with the exception of Sam Raiter's 218.4 pound chunk fish; also his personal best. Just before dark we had one more go around on the bigger grade and the last fish of the day was a 225 pound tuna caught by Peter Corselli on a fly lined sardine. So far our Accurate trip is off to a strong start, hopefully we can keep the ball rolling.
