http://www.kenssport.comOverall the fishing is still pretty darn good! Bridgeport Lake is??fishing well these days, like it should be!! The fly anglers are doing great now??with midges or nymph patterns like blood midges, callibaetis, hare's ears, and the like, as well as a little bit of streamer stripping with stillwater nymphs or seal buggers. The bait folks are doing killer with crawlers, power bait and power eggs. Lots of fish out if front of the marina and over in the Buckeye Bay to Rainbow area. Talked to Dusty from Sierra Customs Fish Taxidermy??(530-495-2475)??who told me that yesterday he tubed Bridgeport and caught 19 fish from 2 to 6.5lbs on nymphs in about an hour and a half, also broke off a couple big fish that??took him in to the weeds. He was back for more today! All Dusty's fish were released.
The East Walker is still on.??PMD's in the morning, and caddis in the evening. During the day nymphing is best with caddis patterns, copper johns, silver streaks, fox poopah, etc. Most of the fish are ranging from 12 to 16 inches with??pretty good numbers of 18" plus fish. The upper section is probably the best, but the section below the bridge is holding lots of fish. The??Sceirine Ranch section is also fishing excellent. Lots of slots are booked already for the next??few weeks so if you want to get out there give us a call.
The Virginias are still fishing well with dries and streamers, beetles, caddis, ants and hoppers are doing well, also seal buggers and stillwater nymphs. Crawlers and power eggs for the bait fishermen, as well as kastmasters and panther martins.
