http://www.silverlakeresort.netFishing at Silver Lake is starting to pick up this past week. Since last Sunday we have seen at least twenty nice size trout all weighing in over a pound and an abundance of nice stringers. DFG stocked again on Tuesday with another 900 pounds of catchables and as the weather continues to improve, we hope the fishing follows it.
Worms have been the best, steady bait again this week both in the lake and in Rush Creek, Power Baits will continue to be a hot ticket also. We are also starting to see some signs of fisherman using some flies and streamers and beginning to catch some nice fish with an Olive Matuka or Green Wooly Bugger. Tazmainian Devils and Thomas Bouyants have also produced some nice looking trout as well.
Fish Of the Week:
Dylan Giampietro, in the main photo above and in Photo # 1 of Palmdale landed several nice trout this past week, one weighing in at 2 pound 7 ounces, another weighing in at 2 pound 4 ounces and two more weighing 2 pounds and 1 pound 8 ounces. Dylan caught all of his nice rainbows out on a boat using Rainbow or Garlic Power Bait. George Koth of Canyon Lakes landed a nice 2 pound 6 ounce Rainbow using Garlic Power Bait on Rush Creek. The Campos Crew, Photo # 2 of Fontana caught a nice stringer full using Power Eggs. Josh Mosher of Yorba Linda landed a great 1 pound 4 ounce Rainbow using Orange Power Bait from the shore.
The weather is beautiful and the Fishing is great at Silver lake and Rush Creek.
Happy Fishing and Good Luck!!!
