Trout and Stripers were on the hunt at Lake Del Valle this week

Gary Howard of Livermore caught 1 striper weighing 8 lbs. 9 oz. using anchovies at the dam on 6-9-12.Marina Hours: 6am to 8pm
Park Hours: 6am to 9pm.
Last Plant: On June 5th, 2,500 lbs.were planted from DF&G & on June 4th 500 lbs. of Mt Lassen trout were planted. Water Temperature: 74 degrees.
Anglers are pulling in their trout limits using an assortment of bait, power bait colors in white, chartreuse, rainbow, spring green and fluorescent orange followed by power bait 3" floating trout worms in white and chartreuse used with or without power bait trout attractant. Berkley gulp 2.5" trout worms in white, chartreuse, bubblegum or fluorescent orange are popular too. Stripers are being pulled in with anchovies. Kastmasters, rapalas, senkos, spinner and crank baits are dominating in lures this week pulling bass off their beds. We have seen some nice catfish pulled in also.
