Trout fishing has been fair in the 50' depth range near the dam on trolled dodger/crawler combinations and wedding rings in the early mornings, and drifting worms later in the day around the dam, in front of Harvey's Bay and Johnson Bay.

Both largemouth and smallmouth bass are biting top waters until the cloud cover lifts. After that jigs, texas rigs and drop shot plastics have been producing well for the rest of the day.

Catfish are in coves and are taking cut mackerel in 10' to 15' of water. Crappie action has been a little slower this week, but the ones biting have been good ones in the 2 to 3 lbs. class. Mini jigs and trolled minnow imitations in the narrows and at Santa Cruz Bay have been the best bet for the slabs. Bow fishing for Carp has been good early along the wall between Bobcat and Santa Cruz point and chalk Cliffs. Bluegill were tough to come by and only a handful were reported.
