John Rowe of Seaforth Sportfishing and Friends of Rollo announced the 29th Annual contest. The San Diego Rod & Reel Club is also a co-sponsor. This year's contest will take place August 18 and 19, with first and second places for tuna, yellowtail and IGFA qualifying fish, excluding yellowtail. There will be four separate jackpots per entered boat, which will include billfish. A seminar will be held at the Bali Hai August 2 at seven p.m., and the awards banquet will be Sunday, August 19 at noon, also at the Bali Hai restaurant on Shelter Island.
