"We fished for yellowtail at Benitos for the better part of the day today," said the report from Intrepid July 24. "Although we had good sign of fish in a few areas, it did not bite very well. We scratched all morning before heading offshore for the rest of the day. We did find a kelp late in the afternoon that had good yellows on it, 18 to 25 pounds, and we picked up 27. The weather continues to be good and we will be concentrating on yellowtail again tomorrow. Wish us luck.

The photo today is of Cheryl Dejager with a nice Benitos yellowtail, helping her is crew member Scott Shurko. Cheryl would like to wish her son Creed a very happy birthday!"
