http://www.flyfishersplace.com/index.phpI have been getting mixed reports from the Crooked so go out there with that in mind. Mainly 8-14" wild rainbows and plenty of whities. Tim Quinton, a shop guide, had a client out there recently and they spotted an 18 incher, so the big guys are still around. If your not set on this river, you may want to go somewhere else. Nonetheless, the canyon is beautiful and the scenery often makes up for poor fishing. Hot summer days are slow out there, especially since the fishing has dropped off so dramatically the last couple of years. Focus your fishing time when the sun is off the water. Mornings may be best. Be careful of Rattlers out there!! Dries: Adams, Purple comparadun, caddis, PMDNymph: Scuds, midges, caddis, angle case emerger, brassie.
