"We finished up this 6-day open party trip with some more great offshore action," noted Red Rooster III skipper Joe Crisci September 27. "We finished up with 108 Yellowfin tuna and 40 more Dorado. The dorado were those large models and we managed to score some premium Yellowfin off a dolphin school. What a great way to end an action-filled trip!"

At the dock September 28, Steve Reich of Oxnard won first place for a 52.6-pound yellowfin. Alan Takii of La Palma won second place for a 46.8-pound tuna, and Tom Babcock of Henderson, NV won third place for his 45-pound yellowfin. Steve Ochoa of Stanton won the trolling jacket for a 45.4-pound yellowfin tuna.
