We headed inside last night to take a look around in the warm water just off the coast. The water reached temperatures above 85 degrees. It was just after lunch when we found an area with many birds and if you looked closely you could see dorado just breaking the surface. These fish look amazing in the water when they are lit up with bright blue, green, and yellow. After a few decent stops, we were watching this one frigate bird that looked suspicious. We drove over to investigate and when we got close you could see a massive school of big mahi in the water. Everyone caught what they could use in the kitchen or on the BBQ and we left them biting. It is nice to see how healthy this fishery is down here and we are fortunate to be part of it. We will be sliding south tonight to give the lower banks a check tomorrow. Wish us luck.
