LINGCOD and nice RED SNAPPER were thick today at the islands! The day started with 28 anglers aboard the Island Spirit departing in awesome weather. In honor of Veterans Day 2012, most of you had the day off and some were luck enough to come fishing with us. Fishing at the islands started strong and kept roll'n all day. Everyone came back with "blue fillets", catching 33 legal lings with twice as many short's getting thrown back. The quality of the rockfish has got better every day, culminated on this holiday with slug reds and chucks for all. Just an awesome day for everyone!

Recommended tackle:  LOCAL ISLANDS 10oz, 6oz, 4oz torpedo sinkers. #1 and 3/0 circle hooks. Medium action rod w/30lb line. OVERNIGHT TRIPS: 16oz, 12oz, 6oz torpedo sinkers. 1/0 and 5/0 circle hooks. Medium action rod w/30-40lb line.
