http://www.royalpolaris.comJUST WHAT THE DR. ORDERED (121712)!!! The wide open bite I hoped for yesterday came early this morning right before sunrise. Bad time to be a late sleeper as the tuna were reminiscent of the skip jacks we left at the other place. You couldn't get a bait in the water without being ripped by an 80 to 120 pound tuna and a few larger. This was just the the chaotic beginning of a day that saw steady tuna action all day long both on the kite as well as bait. No 200 pounders landed but very nice fish and a bite that every one was able to score on. As if the tuna action wasn't good enough, the wahoo must be having one of their hook trade shows soon. That's when they all get together and show off the hooks they've collected by biting off anglers. Of course, there are a sizable number of them who won't be attending this year because they're now in our freezers. At any rate, it was the best wahoo fishing and the most productive tuna fishing of the trip by far. There was at least one monster hooked that got away by breaking the line so even with the onslaught of these decent grade fish, the much bigger ones are around and possible also. We'll give it another full day tomorrow. POEM OF THE DAY On the kite, at night, with no light Chance of a bite without sight is slight Can you avoid a shark Flying kites in the dark? You might if the flight is right.
