"We arrived to Alijos Rocks at 03:45 hours," said the report from Royal Polaris April 1, "and started on the 42 fathoms bank trying for an early morning bite on the big Yellows. We left there at 05:00 hours with no success and moved into the rocks. We had scratchy fishing all day and caught 50 Yellowtail and 120 Cabrilla. Largest Yellowtail was caught by Mike Brown on a 6x Salas and weighed 38 pounds. Mike won a Royal Polaris Jacket donated by Jerry Brown of Line One spectra. Weather today was windy and cold for the most part and it appears it will stay that way all the way home."
