We had a nice day today picking up 45 wahoo and a couple smaller grade tuna. The fish holds are now wedged and the passengers and crew are exhausted but happy. The mood on deck is a happy one with a few people breaking down some gear but most of the HCI JUNE AHI group are celebrating their successful trip with an adult beverage or two. Our timing was good and we were rewarded with 225 tuna and 125 wahoo. 23 of those tuna are over 200 pounds with a few more pending that we will have to weigh when we get back to San Diego on June 9th. Many personal bests were caught on this trip. We are now headed up the line a day early taking our time and maybe fishing a little bit on the way, weather permitting.
