We found very clean blue 60.9 degree water, 90 miles southwest of Mission Bay. The water this time of year was surprisingly clean and had signs of bait and Spanish Jack. Sea conditions were less than favorable for exploring offshore. We opted to head up towards one of the other vessels who had a couple kelps for offshore yellowtail. 60 miles from Mission Bay, we stumbled upon two kelps.
