http://www.silverlakeresort.netThe Fishing at Silver Lake in the June Lake Loop has continued to produce some very nice rainbows and lots of stringers over the past week. DFW planted 900 pounds of catchables this past Wednesday and that has helped to keep fishing steady. We have continued to see a good number of larger rainbows weighing in over 2 pounds this week thanks to that load of Alper's Trout we received last week.
The "HOT" ticket this week has been the Berkley Mice Tails in any color you can get your hands on. They have been working both from shore and from a boat, as well as Gulp Garlic Pinch Worms, and Salmon Egg Red Power Bait. We have had a few cooler mornings already so the fish should be up near the surface early until the sun hits the water then look for fishing to be good deeper.
Anglers have also seen some good results trolling with a Flasher and a worm or a Flasher and a Red winged Tasmanian Devil. Don't be afraid to use anything and everything you may have in the tackle box this time of year. As the fish have seen a lot of the same things over the summer and may take a look at something different.
Fish Of The Week:
Pictured Above: Adam Fien (Age 7) of Vacaville landed a nice 2 pound 12 ounce Rainbow trolling a fly on Silver Lake.
Photo #1: Tyler Thompson of Westminster hauled in a 2 pound 13 ounce Rainbow from a boat on Silver Lake using Power Bait.
Photo #2: Meghan Fairchild from Newhall brought in a beautiful 2 pound 11 ounce Rainbow from Rush Creek using Salmon Egg Red Power Bait.
Photo #3: Bart Bowers of Montrose had the "Catch Of The Week" with a 4 pound 1 ounce Rainbow he hauled in using worms from a boat on Silver Lake.
Happy Fishing and Good Luck!!
