We metered a school of Bluefin around 5am this morning and shut down on them. It took a little while for them to get back under us, but around 0530 they did and we hooked our first for the day. The morning was best and then our bite turned into a slow plunker for the rest of the day. We had 3 anglers catch their first ever Bluefin today and seeing the smiles on their faces is what makes this job so rewarding. Our Tuna today were mostly in the 25-35 lb. range with 1 around 45 lbs. To start our trip with another all day drift, fish boiling around, and everyone just having a good time is sweet to say the least. It wasn't a ripper or any big numbers, but a fun day anyhow. All this took place 155 miles from the point, so there is definitely some Bluefin making their way into the local zone closer to home. We are rolling down a little ways tonight to try another area tomorrow. Wish us Luck. "The Intrepid Team"
