http://www.shogunsportfishing.comIt started a little on the slow and cold side, but we wound up gettting steady action on the "premium" grade yellowtail today. Mike Shugars landed two big 'ol halibut, one about 25lbs. and the other comeing in at 35lbs.. Jim Fujitani also landed a nice halibut and took big yellowtail honors with a fish that wieghed in(on a hand scale) at 47lbs. Nice. Good going guys.

Today we hit a series of kelp paddies that produced a number of quality yellowtail and a handful of dorado.......

After showing that improved sign for us last night on the way out, today the bite just shut-down. We saw plenty of fish, jumpers, on the machines, but they were playing the same game they have been all year and just not biting. The hot jig of the day, seems to be the mega bait in the smaller sizes. The problem with this is the hook arrangement on them, they are too light and have a tendency to strighten out.......
