The middle of the lake varies, with ice six inches thick in some places and open water in others, so use caution. Fishing is good to excellent for perch and rainbow trout in 15 to 40 feet of water. Fishing for splake and lake trout is slow to fair. Try tipping jigs and spoons with mealworms, wax worms, nightcrawlers, perch meat or sucker meat.
