http://www.royalpolaris.comPARTY'S OVER (022114)!!! Lines are out of the water, most reels off the rods, and we're on our way to Cabo. We fished until 1pm today and the way it started looked like we'd finish with a whimper. By breakfast time not a fish had been hooked and there was little sign of life. But you know how it goes, the skippers always have that secret place that they save for last so that you end on a high note and want to come back again. Only joking of course, we finished off in a spot that we had fished almost every day but about a couple of hours before we had to leave the Tuna showed up ready to rumble. We ended up with no cows but a very good number of Tuna (especially for a shortened day) and several went as high as 150 pounds. Most were caught on bait but the kite was starting to work a little also which is something we haven't seen much of lately. There were a few Wahoo who decided they wanted to make the trip back to San Diego also, and a couple were again that larger size. Weather was once again outstanding as is the ride so far to the Cape. One of the things I will most remember about this trip is the fabulous weather but more about summing up the trip tomorrow when I write my final report as I will be getting off in Cabo. POEM OF THE DAY When the Wahoo raced the Snapper He became a bit of a napper But once awake Even riding the brake He was easily able to lap her.
