The Provo River below I-15 opened up to angling again on May 3. You'll find fair to good fishing with midge patterns or sow bug patterns. The pale morning dun pattern has been effective as well. Baits are allowed in areas below the Olmstead Diversion dam and down through the canyon and city. Please read the Utah Fishing Guidebook for the special regulations on the river.Middle Anglers report good fishing with smaller dark flies in sizes 18 to 22. Bait is allowed in the stretch from above Charleston Bridge to the Midway Lane Bridge. Please read the Utah Fishing Guidebook for the special regulations on the river.
