Report Date:
http://wildlife.utah.govFishing has picked up this week. Many anglers report catching a lot of rainbows in the 13- to 18-inch range. The best method seems to be trolling using Rapalas on monofilament. Those using this technique are catching more than 20 fish per outing! Shore fishing has been slower, but an angler caught a 22-inch brown from the shore using a worm and PowerBait, so there are still large fish waiting to be caught from the shore. The water temperature is climbing into the 50s and the fish are responding. We haven't received any reports of bass, but it shouldn't be long. If you come up to fish, be sure to check out the nesting owls at the Juniper campground. Thanks to Park Manager Joe Donnell for the report.
