NO WORRIES.. the seabasas are on the rebound. Tuesday we already saw signs of a bite inbound. The full day and overnight boats both caught seabass, plus a bunch of barracuda in the mix. Yellowtail are again being seen at the islands also.. looking good!

We have open trips and private trips coming up on the boats. Still a few spots left to hunt these elusive channel islands game fish. Give us a call before all the boats are full!

TACKLE: Here is a quick run down on what to bring when you come fishing. Squid catchers for making bait. Medium action rod and reel combo spooled with 25-30lb monofiliment line for the dropper loop. Medium-light action rod for throwing jigs and jig heads. Hooks 5/0 circle is highly recommended for the dropper loop. 3/0-4/0 standard live bait hooks are recommended for "fly lining". Bring a range of sinkers styles and weights from 6oz to 16oz torpedo, and 1/8oz to 1oz egg sinkers. Florocarbon leader is not a bad idea either. Jigs, like Salas or Tady surface irons white color. Jig heads like Gitzem 1/2oz to 1.5oz or Banana jig heads 1/2oz to 1.5oz.
