We had a fantastic two-day charter aboard the Mirage out of Channel Islands Sportfishing in Oxnard. We loaded our limited load of seventeen anglers and shoved off with high hopes of the late summer White Seabass and Halibut that they've been slaying. Given our trip duration, we were all optimistic of landing a fish. Fortunately, that's exactly what everyone did, and some! There were several hearts eaten on this trip as some angles marked species off of their bucket list. I will add there were also many swings of the baseball bat as well! Our haul for 17 anglers included 36 California Sheephead, 234 Rockfish, 14 Lingcod, 10 Barndoor California Halibut, 6 Kelp Bass, 1 Cabezon, 19 California Barracuda, and 63 White Seabass.
