Report Date:

Chad from Round Rocks fly shop in Logan reported good fishing in the upper Blacksmith Fork River, just below the dam. He fished for four hours using bead head pheasant tail nymphs and caddis flies and caught eight brown and three cutthroat trout. Brown trout are starting to get very aggressive in preparation for the spawn. Try using dry flies at the confluence. Streamers are also work well this time of year.
