We would like to say a big THANK YOU to the Inyo Register for printing our fishing reports and pictures and all the other area newspapers - Bishop Chamber of Commerce - Department of Fish and Game for all the GREAT stockings this year - Southern California Edison for the water - to all the campground hosts and especially the 'head cleaners' who did an outstanding job of keeping everything cleaned and stocked! Most of all we would like to THANK YOU- we do appreciate you spending your vacations with us!

The catching part of fishing is still a bit on the iffy side - haven't seen any Browns come up yet (might still be too nice of weather). The George Inlet, (yup, the George Inlet) is your best bet with NightCrawlers or PowerBait. Trolling is on the slow side, but you might try Lures or NightCrawlers. Drifting the channels or by the rock piles with NightCrawlers. Shore fishing has been good with PowerBait, NightCrawlers or tossing Lures, but take a bit of a walk and get away from the parking lot.

Camp Sabrina, North Lake, Bishop Park, Mt Glen and Willow campgrounds are closed for the season - getting a bit cool at night for the potable water. BitterBrush remains open even during the winter and you can camp for free (THERE IS NO POTABLE WATER DURING THE WINTER), remember tho' - you're at about 7000 ft in elevation.

The weather is cool in the morning, but is warming up in the afternoons. DON'T FORGET YOUR JACKETS & YOUR WOOLIES! You can also check out www.weather.gov - enter Aspendell, CA (which is the little community right below Lake Sabrina) in the search field and you'll get the forecast for the higher elevation or take a look at Howard Sheckter, our local weather 'guesser' report at www.MammothWeather.com.

Remember the sunscreen, ponchos and dark polarized glasses. The glare off the water is tough on the eyes. And if you have allergies - PACK YOUR MEDS. It's tough breathing out there for some - what with runny noses, stuffed noses & watery eyes, believe us, we know!

One other important item - bug juice, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, cologne, perfume, or any other foo-foo juice is like a fish repellent. If you use any of these items you're basically using fish repellant, and will need to wash your hands, then apply Bite-On fish attractant or rub your hands in worm dirt or pour some Salmon Egg juice on your hands... anything to get the foo-foo stink off your hands.

We'll be back open on Saturday, April 25th at 7:00!

Until next year - HAPPY EVERYTHING!

Juanita, Rick, Patti, & Bryan

A fire in the wood stove Saturday morning as it was downright cold - 30?? at 6:00am. Got a wee bit more snow this week on both Saturday and Sunday - sure was great to see that white stuff floating down. Also had some pretty strong breezes on Thursday and Friday - not many anglers out braving the weather, although there were lots of photographers out and about. Not sure what these cooler temps will do to the leaves -......
