http://www.kenssport.comThings are still pretty warm around here, but some of the fishing is holding out. The West Walker is really??low, and I'm sure it will be for the rest of the season. If you're??willing to searchout the deeper pools though, there's fish to be caught. Terrestrial patterns and buggers are doing well for the fly anglers, drifting eggs and small spinners for the??spin fishermen are doing well also.??
The Twins have been??picking up lately. We've had some good reports trolling with needlefish with fish showing up to 3.5 pounds. Also some action near the inlets with power bait, and power eggs, and a little bit with crawlers.??
The East Walker is still??too warm to??catch and release safely on the California side, however, the Nevada side has been doing pretty well. Typically the Nevada side is 6 to 8 degrees cooler than the Cali side due in part to??the small springs that add cooler water to the river down there, the oxygen levels seem to??be higher as well I think because??the terrain is steeper on the Nevada side and the riffles create some of their own oxygen. The fish down there are healthy and fighting/releasing well still. I talked??to one angler who was able to land 17 fish in about 3 hours on the Rosachi section yesterday, not too bad. The??Sceirine section is also fishing??very well, and it's not too booked up right now. As far as the California side goes,??as I've said before, we'll keep our eyes on it and let you know as soon as it shapes up again.??
