Report Date:
http://wildlife.utah.govAnglers report mixed fishing success for rainbows and walleye. Bass and yellow perch fishing is slowing down. Because of the cooler weather, the best fishing has been mid-morning and late afternoon. For trout, try trolling or casting fish-colored crankbaits or a worm rig. Shore anglers should try using a marshmallow and worm or floating PowerBait and worm combination. For walleye, fish deep into the rocks or shallow into the back of the bays. Most of the walleye are small, and you can help the fishery by taking them home. Watch out for the afternoon winds, which can quickly generate big waves. Improvements to the campgrounds and facilities, and the addition of a new 3-D archery range have greatly improved the state park.
