Mantua Reservoir Fish Report

Utah Division of Wildlife

Report Date:

http://wildlife.utah.gov

The ice is now five to six inches thick. Most anglers are doing fairly well. They are catching larger perch and bluegill, and the east side of the reservoir seems to be particularly productive. When targeting perch, use thin line and smaller gear. The best time to fish is from first light until about 10 or 11 a.m. Be extremely cautious when fishing in the afternoon. There could be thin ice -- or even open water -- along the edges in the afternoon, even though it was solid in the mornings.
