Anglers report fair to good fishing through eight to nine inches of ice, once they cross over to the main ice cap. The ice in the northeastern corner looks like it is deteriorating faster than the ice near the boat ramp. Try using small jigs or jigging spoons tipped with bait such as a worm, mealworm or cut bait. Anglers have also been doing well with artificial baits that are brightly colored and have strong scents.
